    Hi everyone!
    I've been absent from the forums for quite a while, because I've been working on Dyescape Quest Content.

    However, I'm here with an entirely different purpose right now. The Donor Ranks for our server are additional names for you, our donating players. Therefore, I'd like your opinion on what set of ranks you prefer!

    NOTE: Ranks start from LOW to HIGH

    If you have additional suggestions, feel free to put a reply to this post :) However, we'd like to avoid any names that have too much social/theoretical importance, such as King, Queen, etc, or religions importance, such as Bishop for example.

    Thanks!

    Elite and Legend ruin the medieval theme imo, anything else would be better than that.

    Another thing worth noting is that there isn't enough distinction for most of these choices (imo).
    What I mean by this is that the progression of it is ambiguous unless you are familiar with the British noble rankings (which most people are not), having donor names that you have to look up on Google to actually figure out what they are is just cumbersome and is not simple enough.

    For example
    Noble -> Duke -> Prince/Princess -> King/Queen is a lot easier of a distinction than
    Noble -> Baron -> Earl -> Viscount -> Marquess

    I am not saying to throw everything that is here in the trash, but we should keep this in mind as the names of ranks will be the first thing new players & potential donors see when viewing the server.

    While I agree with the statement, I'd like to mention a few points of why we did not suggest any names such as queen or king. We didn't feel like picking queen or king as an option as in our eyes it would conflict with the lore too much. We have an enormous map, but fact remains that in a land like this, there is only one king. Naming donors kings would (again, in our eyes) do more harm than good when it comes to lore. Anyone can be noble, anyone can be Baron, Viscount or Duke (kinda).

    One other thing to mention is that I think your point pretty much addresses this problem in almost every name you pick, unless they're extremely basic such as VIP or MVP (basically the rank names we are trying to get rid of). We all live in a big world and we choose (mainly) European medieval social titles as rank names in the current options. Yes, plenty of people will probably have to lookup the actual donor ranks and what the order of them is, but honestly, I myself have done this for almost every server. I personally do not see the need of throwing away the most voted suggestion purely because of this. Let me know.
