Q6: Something like armory in WoW, using equipment unlocks their style which collects in to armory from which you can swap look of your gear. Would be great if it also had presets where you can built different presets and swap between them quickly. Also, being able to set particles to your presets, even if they don't have any for further customization.
Question #6: "What rank perk would you love to see?" yesss, I wanna disguise as unique Dyescape mobs I also like some aspects of the monthly season pass/other events of that nature that some MMORPGs do. i.e. each month, you have opportunities to complete quests that contribute to obtaining some cosmetic(s) after some time. Maybe that could be a new morph, some sort of weapon/armor transmogrification (if possible), or other fun little things like lobby-style "gadgets".
If there is transmog it should have a ingame currency cost and be available to everyone but maybe donors could transmog for free
The deadline for the sixth question has passed and all answers have been approved. Let's draft! Congratulations @PostOffice! Please DM me your discord name. Now, for the first and final rank. Question #7: "What could we be doing better?" Reward: Duke Deadline: 14th of September (23:59 UTC) 2020 Please file a new reply so it's easy to check with the deadline!
Question #7: "What could we be doing better?" I would love to see more devlogs on the discord channel, feels like there have been more in the past and now it's gone down, it's always awesome to see new innovations that only this server has/plans to do maybe also give us a release date?
Q7: Currently? Fix phasing :kappa:, jokes aside we've been very dried of devlogs and progress updates and we all prob would like to see more.
Question #7: "What could we be doing better?" Everything that I see in the Dyescape community is good, so that makes finding an answer to a question like this hard. Well, I would like to see more devlogs and more sneak peaks.
Q7: Stop using rigged name selectors xD Just kidding. Dunno, I personally would appreciate static form for devlogs / changelogs where every change, fix and add will be bullet point or something (don't forget emotes, emotes looks always nice in changelogs ✅), extended text and info are fine, just sometimes when you are in the hurry, you want to just read short sentences about how it works now and what changed, I still appreciate detailed text at the beginning.
Question 7: I think that you guys should post more sneak-peeks and stuff as to keep the hype going. Just so it doesn’t die down.
Question #7 what could we be doing better? I would like it if there was more communication, I do not really know what is currently being worked on and when i can expect to play on this server. It was nice to do a giveaway of ranks like this.
Question #7: "What could we be doing better?": I mean, there is not much you could do to do better, the discord is a very nice place to hang out with just generally people and with staff, friendly and funny conversations. The only thing i think you can do better though, is make more sneak-peaks for the community to enjoy, the last one was over 2 months ago
Question #7: "What could we be doing better?" More social media activity in my opinion. It would hype the launch up a lot more
Question #7: "What could we be doing better?" I wouldn't mind a few more showcases of actual game play. You guy's put out a lot of devlogs, and some small snippets of bugs/things you are working on. I would really like a full-fledged "10 minutes sneak preview" sort of thing. Or just some clips posted on an official YouTube channel or something.
Question #7: "What could we be doing better?" I would love to see the overall progression of the server. A rough % of what has been completed for an alpha release to happen. The small snippets in devlogs are great but I have no idea how significant what is mentioned in devlogs actually is.
Question #7: "What could we be doing better?" Seeing all the delays, the "soonTM"s and the amount of time it's taken for a Minecraft server to be made, there's anxiety (at least for me) around the possibility that Dyescape might not reach its full potential. I have good faith that it'll release, but the hardest challenge won't be doing that, it will be making the game great. I could try citing a few games/server that have: Been in development for a long time. The game idea that is larger in scope than the original idea. A professional, populated development team (I mean actually paid, high-end studio game developers). Inconsistent communication, with updates and announcements spaced out weeks or months at a time. Broken promises and delays. And I have a feeling that you can name a couple games off the top of your heads that fit this description, but I don't want to see Dyescape end up like one of them. I know you guys have promised to 'be more open' and post more devlogs (you've already talked about this, which gives hope), but honestly, the first announcement this year was 8 months in and about a giveaway, not actual progress on the game. Just follow through on your promises, give more updates and announcements so the community doesn't feel like the game is going anywhere and is dead in the water, and settle down on ideas for the game, you've got enough :triumph: :triumph: No offensive meant, you guys are doing good.
Congratulations @Crown7 on winning Duke! Hopefully, you all enjoyed the release video. A follow-up thread on this thread will come shortly. Thanks everyone for participating!
